I am interested in practical solutions to the difficulties that autistic people and their families face. At present my focus is on teenagers who struggle in mainstream education. So I proposed a halfway house to my Local Authority that would help young people who are effectively excluded from school because they are autistic.
I submitted this proposal to Cumbria County Council last year. They are still considering it. If anyone else wants to launch a similar service I would be delighted to hear from you.
